Khadija Ahmed is a junior at Northwestern University studying journalism and environmental sciences with a passion for environmental justice. She is currently an apprentice with the Investigative Project on Race and Equity. She reported on environmental policy during an academic quarter in Washington, D.C., and has reported for the Medill Investigative Lab in Chicago, where her work was published in MindSite News and The Concord Monitor. In summer 2023, she completed an environmental justice internship where she focused on hyperlocal air quality monitoring and government accountability.
