Grace Maria Eberhardt

is a history Ph.D. student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where she researches the history of science, race, and ethnicity in the U.S. She has a bachelor’s degree in biology and African American studies with an emphasis in bioethics from the University of Puget Sound. She led the movement to remove the name “Slater” from the “Slater Museum of Natural History” at her alma mater, now named the “Puget Sound Museum of Natural History.”
